Life Groups
“And they devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers”
Acts 2:42
Why should you be part of a Life Group?
1. In a Life Group, you are truly valued.
Life Groups allow you to be a part of a tighter connection of friends—who will notice if you’re absent or aren’t quite yourself. When you’re part of a group, people know your name, care about you, and are willing and able to lend a hand when you really need it.
2. In a Life Group you can become a leader.
Because the purpose of a Life Group is to grow and eventually multiply into more groups, there are often opportunities to become a leader. You can grow in your own leadership skills, while positively affecting your community by joining, and maybe even starting a Life Group.
3. Life Groups give you an extended family.
Being part of a Life Group that meets weekly to eat, talk, pray, and fellowship provides the loyalty and support available from others. They become like family, and family is priceless.
4. Life Groups allow you to search and ask questions.
Everybody has questions. While church services are focused on worship, teaching, and training, a Life Group gives is there to encourage you to ask hard questions in a safe environment—and to seek answers together.
5. Life Groups provide prayer, advice, and support.
Ask for prayer concerning your career, your relationships, and about life decisions. It is always wise to seek out the knowledge, wisdom, and support of Christian friends before making important life choices.
6. Life Groups help the church grow.
The Gospel of Matthew clearly states that Christians are to go and make disciples of all the world. But often the “world” feels too intimidated to visit churches. Life Groups, on the other hand, give you the opportunity to connect with people in a less threatening environment, a place you can invite your friends to come along.
